Tongue Jacks have always been a mystery to me. Hand crank jacks take a long time to deploy, and can be miserable on a hot, humid summer day.
Electric jacks come in sizes to lift the whole camper. Do you really need a tongue jack capable of lifting 2,500 Lbs. Probably not when the tongue weight is only 300 Lbs? Because it’s designed to lift a much heavier weight, the gearing makes it move very slowly.
This may be the answer. You have to do the hand to raise the tongue off the hitch, , and you have to use the hand crank to lower it onto the hitch, but the last part that takes the longest, raising and lowering the foot, is now really quick and easy.
